The Highlands at Harbor Springs Resort, Michigan
Zoo-de-Ski Weekend I:
The January Zoo-de-Ski weekend is held during the prime of the Northern Michigan ski season. The forecast will usually call for typical Northern Michigan weather that time of year: temperatures in the teens and twenties. The snow conditions should be nothing short of phenomenal. The party scene will be good with great bands in the Slopeside Lounge each evening and the Zoo Bar on Saturday afternoon. If you want the best skiing conditions, choose this weekend!
Zoo-de-Ski Weekend II:
The March Zoo-de-Ski weekend is held during the tail end of the Northern Michigan ski season. The forecast will usually call for typical Northern Michigan weather that time of year: temperatures in the thirties to forties. The snow conditions should be firm in the morning turning slushy in the afternoon. The skiing conditions this weekend are typically good, but not great. The warm weather usually makes up for the snow. The party scene will be insane with great bands in the Slopeside Lounge each evening and the Zoo Bar on Saturday afternoon. This weekend also happens to be Krazy Daze weekend at Boyne Highlands. Kids activities include: face painting, jump competition, NASTAR and silly slalom races. Adult activities include: ski over the pond, costume contest, Zoo Bar entertainment, NASTAR and Krazy Cup races. An adventure/scavenger race is usually held for all on Sunday.
I approached Boyne Highlands with a request that they allow me to fill some holes in their winter ski weekend schedule with a package that offered a great value. We negotiated and I got them to sweeten the deal by throwing in tubing, etc. They are also offering this package as a way of saying thanks to all the loyal Zoo-de-Mackers who are also loyal Boyne customers. This package offers more and is lower priced than any they offer to the general public!
Because kids 5 and under are free, it’s the perfect package to enable you to open up their world to the joys of skiing and the winter wonderland of Northern Michigan! We allow you to take advantage of two great winter weekends on the cheap without having to buy equipment, and the convenience of being able to walk right out the front door onto the slopes. A big bonus is the outdoor heated pools and hot tubs…something sure to be etched into every child’s memory forever!
